Prop firm calculators and tools

Funded account challenges are lost on rules as often as on trades. These tools check the rules that end most attempts: where a trailing drawdown floor sits, whether your best day breaks a consistency rule, how often a strategy passes a challenge and what a payout comes to after the split. The firm finder and broker directory help you choose where to trade.

Questions

What is a trailing drawdown?

A loss limit that moves up as the account makes new highs. The breach floor is the highest tracked value minus the drawdown amount, so profit raises the floor. Firms differ on whether they track balance or equity and intraday or end-of-day highs, and some stop moving the floor once it reaches the starting balance, so check the exact rule.

What is a consistency rule?

A cap on how much of your total profit can come from a single day. Under a 30% rule, a best day of $450 needs total profit of at least $1,500 before a payout. The consistency rule calculator shows your best-day share and how much more profit you need.

How is a prop firm payout calculated?

Your share is the eligible profit times the profit split, less anything you leave in the account and any fees. With $5,000 of profit and an 80% split, the trader share is $4,000 before reserve and fees.

Can I use an EA or trading bot with a prop firm?

It depends on the firm, and often on the programme, platform or account size. The prop firm finder sorts firms by their published automation policy and country lists and links to each firm's official rules so you can confirm before paying.
