Why grids need special caution
Grid systems may accumulate positions as price moves against the basket. Smooth periods can hide concentrated tail risk, financing costs, spread expansion, and broker execution limits.
What to test
The research grid includes fixed and volatility-adjusted spacing, capped position counts, equal and scaled sizing, session and news filters, basket stops, basket targets, and maximum holding time.
Promotion standard
A candidate must survive costs, adverse spread scenarios, walk-forward testing, broker-specific constraints, and demo forward validation. Until then it remains research, not a recommended bot.
